Welcome to Riverside School
Welcome to Riverside Elementary School, home of Riverside Pride! Riverside Elementary is a preschool-5th grade school. We are located on the main campus of the Riverside School District. Riverside Elementary is one of two elementary schools in the district.

Riverside Elementary School (RES) is a schoolwide Title I school that provides academic and behavioral support for each student’s unique needs. We also have a SOAR program to support students who excel in academics. If students need additional academic support they have the opportunity to attend our SHARE (Success Happens at Riverside Elementary) Program, which is made up of highly qualified teachers who specialize in providing reading and math instruction aligned with standards.

Teachers and staff at RES are known for their caring and inviting nature. They strive to provide instruction at high levels of cognitive thinking to ensure students experience growth academically, as well as, socially and emotionally. Our district continually strives to offer improved resources, professional development and support to guide staff.

Technology is a presence in our students’ education here at Riverside. We have a state of the art computer lab as well as multiple Computers on Wheels (COWS), Chromebooks in each classroom and an IPad for each classroom. Our students are well-trained in internet safety and our staff has access to an Instructional Technology Coach who teaches them how to best use technology with their students.

A child’s education is not complete without parents. Riverside Elementary has a strong parent community. Parent nights are offered, volunteer opportunities are in endless supply, and family activities are available as well. At Riverside, we want to know our children and their families and appreciate the relationships we have developed. We expect great things from our students and together with our families, we continuously celebrate their successes.

Best wishes,

Samantha Griggs, Principal
