Kindergarten Information
Welcome! This is an exciting time for you and your child. I am looking forward to a wonderful year and I hope the following information will be helpful as you prepare for school to begin.

Please bring/send your child's supplies to the classroom and we will assist your child in putting them in the designated areas.

Your child will need to bring a backpack to school and home everyday. This will help with communication between home and school. Plan to check the backpack daily for important papers and school information.

Milk and lunch money is deposited at the office. Please label the deposit with your child's first and last name so that it can be deposited correctly. It is easier to pay for 2 weeks or more at one time.
Group snacks are served each day in kindergarten. Please send a large box/package of crackers or cookies to share with the class. If your child is allergic to any foods be sure to notify me , as well as the school nurse. As more snacks are needed, parents will be notified.
The kindergarten requirement is to read or be read to for 10 minutes five days a week and complete the activities included in the homework booklet. Please sign your name, initials or add a sticker in the boxes on the homework calendar on the days you read with your child. The calendar is to be returned on the first school day of the next month.
End of the Day Routines
The following information will help the end of the day be stress-free for your child. Your child must have a note if he/she is to ride a different bus home or if you are going to pick up your child on that day. The note you send for your to child to ride a different bus needs to state your child's full name in addition to the name and address of the person with whom he/she is going. If there is no note, the child will ride his/her regular bus home. Kindergarten students must be met at their bus stop or they will not be allowed off the bus and will ride back to school. The parent will then need to come to school to pick up the child.

I will walk the students to the pick-up room and bus loading area each day for the entire school year. If you are picking your child up, please meet them in the pick-up room (Cafeteria). These procedures are for your child's safety.
